Community Health Workers (CHWs), also known as Promotores de Salud, are trusted public health professionals who serve as a vital link between healthcare providers, social service agencies, and the communities they serve.

CHWs play an essential role in improving community health by providing education, outreach, advocacy, and resource navigation. They help individuals and families access healthcare, social services, and community programs while promoting healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
