Texas State Certified Training

Our Community Health Worker (Promotores de Salud) Program prepares individuals to become certified Community Health Workers through state-approved training. Participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to promote health, connect families with resources, and improve the well-being of their communities.

Serving vulnerable migrants and displaced families with dignity, compassion, and hope along the U.S.–Mexico border through the compassion of volunteers and community partners.

We provide compassionate support for survivors of domestic violence through advocacy, education, referrals, safety planning, and assistance with VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) immigration petitions. Our goal is to help individuals achieve safety, healing, and self-sufficiency. 

Every month, we distribute nutritious food and groceries to more than 250 families throughout El Paso County. Our food distribution program helps reduce food insecurity while promoting healthier communities.

The Pete Herrera Public Library is a welcoming community space offering:

• Free book checkout

• Public computer lab

• Internet access

• Literacy programs

• Educational workshops

• Health and wellness classes

Our public computer lab provides free internet access and technology resources for students, job seekers, and community members. We also offer basic computer skills training to help individuals succeed in today's digital world.
